A new audio feature for free on-line tutoring is being added to the UCS Success Toolkit for parents.

The toolkit - which provides parents with on-line resources to support their child's success - now includes an audio option through a free digital tutoring program available through Tutor.com.

Students can communicate with their tutor using their computer’s audio system or by calling a toll-free number listed on their screen.

Offering an audio option allows an improved experience for those with visual impairments, it more effectively assists younger students or non-typers, and it meets the needs of auditory learners.

Tutor.com provides all students with assistance from professional tutors from 4 to 11 p.m. seven days a week.

It is one of the features available to all parents this year through a partnership with area libraries.

The partnership's Virtual Library Card gives families access to the digital resources available through their local libraries, including ebooks and magazines.
